NNPC Refunding $1.48bn After Claiming No Money Is Missing

The fear of General Buhari is sweeping across the corrupt institutions in Nigeria even before May 29.

Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, on Wednesday confirmed that the NNPC has started the process of refunding the $1.48bn unremitted fund into the Federation Account as recommended by an audit firm, PriceWaterHouse Coopers. But before Buhari defeated Goodluck Jonathan, the same NNPC claimed that no money is missing.

PriceWaterHouse Coopers had in the report of its forensic audit report of the corporation recommended that the NNPC should refund the amount to the Federation Account. Alison-Madueke however explained that the unremitted fund was owed by the NPDC for a block that had been assigned from the NNPC to the NPDC. She said, “The PriceWaterHouse Coopers forensic audit that was done few weeks ago in his recommendation mentioned that $1.48bn was owed by the NPDC for a block that had hitherto been assigned from the NNPC to the NPDC which is its subsidiary. “They felt that the right process would be that the NPDC will refund that money to the Federation Account. The NPDC has apparently started those refunds and it is also in discussion with the NNPC and the DPR on same. So the refund has actually began.”

Meet the Woman who Makes Over N2m a Month By Asking “Boyfriends” for Abortion Money

A 27-year-old woman was pulled over early morning due to a speeding violation. Natasha Brown, acted in a very suspicious manner and officers decided to search her vehicle only to discover $60,000 in cash.
According to US media reports, when officers asked her why she had such a large amount of money she replied “I’m getting an abortion”. She was taken into custody for further questioning.
She told Baton Rouge investigators that the money was rightfully hers. Investigators asked her for employment information and she told investigators she had no job but that she was a “self-employed entrepreneur”. She then told investigators she had multiple boyfriends and that’s how she earned her money.
Natasha Brown said: “I have at least 54 current boyfriends and after 3 weeks of unprotected sex I tell them i’m pregnant and not ready for a baby I then ask them for abortion money” She told investigators she picks the ones that just got paid and usually gets $400-$500 from each one boyfriend. She told investigators: “ I been earning over $10,000 a month doing this I don’t get tired” Investigators called 2 of her currently claimed boyfriends and they were very unsuspecting. 28-year-old Jamal Jones said he gave her the money because: “He didn’t want no kid with her because she had a thotty reputation” but that he still loved her.

Best 7 Tips To Save Data on Android Phones You Don't Know About

If you are a data conscious Android user with limited data subscription from your network/internet provider, then you may need to sacrifice certain unnecessary comfort to save data.
Android OS was designed to make life easier for you but most of these services that perform tasks automatically rely on the internet.
If you can do these tasks manually, why keep these services running? These are the services/apps that you need to manage to control your data.
1. Google Playstore.
Control the time you need the service to connect to internet and update your apps by deactivating “Auto Update”. Go to “Settings” and deselect “Auto Update” on both Wi-Fi and Mobile data.
You can always update your apps anytime by selecting the “Update” button beside the app name.
2. Facebook
The biggest culprit as far as “data- drinking” is concern is the Facebook app. Sorry, but you need to uninstall the app completely. Fortunately, Facebook introduced a lighter version, “Facebook Lite” [Download Here] which you can download and still enjoy your Facebook ecosystem whilst saving data.
3. Avoid the free lunch as much as possible
Avoid free apps, I know you never bothered to read the terms and conditions but one of the things which you agreed to was to allow the app to post adverts to your screen.
Therefore, if you do not have an effective ad-blocker on your device or your device is not rooted [Click to read the benefits of rooting your android], then be careful of what you download free from the internet.
4. Use Opera Mini for Android for browsing
Unless you really must use the normal browser (ie situation you have to fill an online form or make online transaction), then any other browsing on the internet should be with Opera Mini.
Many of us are still somehow limited by what Opera Mini could do, fortunately, Opera decided to bring out the Opera Mini Beta.
5. Desktop View on mobile browser
If you insist on having desktop view on your browser, then use either UC Browser or Opera Browser Beta
(a) Data Saving tips for UC Browser. Go to “Settings” and do 3 things Disable Cloud boost on both mobile and WIFI network Disable “Preload Page” On “Browsing Settings”. Change the image quality to “Low”
(b) Data Saving tips for Opera Browser Beta Go to the Ribbon button (top right corner) Enable “Off-Road Mode” On “Settings”, change the “Off-Road Images” to “Low quality”
6. Set Data Limit
You can also set data limit on the Android Setting menu (Data Usage) and get a notification when you are approaching your daily limit.
7. Use of Data Compressing App
Many people would favor the use of data compressing app like Onavo Extend or Opera Max (Which can also act as a network firewall). But my opinion is that, if you are observing the above tips judiciously, you do not need the data compressor. This is because these data compressing apps require constant internet connection to a third party compressing server, this enables it to reduce the data but unfortunately also drain your battery. It is also reported to be having security concerns especially if you are doing an online transaction.

3year old girl who was abducted in Lagos, has been found in Ogun

On Sunday, April 19, two unidentified men sneaked into the Surulere Baptist Church, Ojuelegba Road, Lagos State premises and abducted a three-year-old girl, Oluwabunmi Ajelero.
According to reports by Punch, the girl was playing with other children on the church premises at about 1pm when the kidnappers came in through the back of the church and tricked her out with Gala before whisking her away on a motorcycle.
Oluwabunmi’s parents and other members of the church were inside the church immersed in the service when the incident happened.
The service stopped when one of the toddler’s playmates alerted the congregation to the incident. Apparently, the captors had pretended as members of the church and established rapport with children in the church. The victim’s father, Oladapo Ajelero, said the captors had contacted him on the phone after, telling him to cooperate. He, however, said they had yet to request any ransom. He said, “It happened around 1pm on Sunday.
The children finished their service before us and were playing on the church premises; Oluwabunmi was among them. “Suddenly, one of her friends rushed in and said two men had lured and taken her away through the back of the church. Some people in the area said they saw her sitting between two men on a motorcycle. I learnt they escaped through Nathan Street. “Our hearts are broken, we don’t know what to do anymore. They have called and instructed me to cooperate. I am still expecting their calls, but for now they have not asked for any ransom.”
Oladapo explained further that one of his relatives went to Surulere Police Station to report, but he was told to come back and make a formal statement after 24 hours of the girl’s abduction. The little girl has now been found and rescued in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Monday by the police and reunited with her parents. The Lagos Police spokesperson, DSP Kenneth Nwosu said Olawunmi had been rescued by a police team drawn from divisions in the state, adding that he was not aware that the family paid any ransom.
He said, “The child has been found in Abeokuta, Ogun State and reunited with her parents. Investigations are ongoing to track down the kidnappers.”

Top 4 WhatsApp Updates You May Not Know About

Whatsapp has had some major updates in the last few weeks which the last is not yet present in the latest whatsapp Plus, but hopefully it will.
* WhatsApp Web: This is one of the notable features added to WhatsApp. It allows you to use WhatsApp on PC either through google chrome browser or Firefox. Atleast for me, it makes it easier for me to reply most questions and proffer solutions via PC.
* WhatsApp Call: It’s no longer news that you use WhatsApp call to call anyone who has the latest WhatsApp on their enabled device which goes a long way in saving you airtime. I’m pretty sure everyone with WhatsApp have already activated their call features. But I noticed one major disadvantage of this WhatsApp callis that when you call someone, it takes like forever re-echoing for the other party to here you… as if you are sending a message through local Nipost before it will get to the receiver, you need to wait for some seconds before any response. This is actually not good enough but hopefully, it will be fix in the next update.
* Material Design: Among other features recently added to whatsapp is the new material design which add to better user experience.
* Google Drive: You can now back up your conversation, group conversation or private conversation history and media on google drive. Which means that even if you format your device, your chat history and media will be safe on google drive. But this feature is only available in the latest version 2.12.45 which is not yet on WhatsApp official page but available on Apk mirror here as at the time written. Once you install the update, go to the app's Settings, Chat settings, Chat Backup, and you'll see a new screen that shows your last backup time and a list of greyed out Google Drive settings. Change the frequency from off to daily (or weekly or monthly). I believe by next updates, whatsapp will fix all call features errors even as they clock 1Billion users.

Music lyrics: Darlene Zschech 'Believe'

I say on Sunday how much I want revival But then on Monday, I can't even find my Bible Where's the power The power of the cross in my life I'm sick of playing the game of religion I'm tired of losing my reason for living Where's the power The power of the cross in my life I'm not content just to walk through my life, giving in To the lies, Walking in compromises now We cry out as a generation that was lost But now is found in the power of the cross Chorus: We believe in You We believe in the power of Your Word that is true We believe in You So we lay down our cause That our cross might be found in You I'm not satisfied doing it my own way I'm not satisfied to do church and walk away I'm not satisfied there's no love in my life but You I'm not satisfied living in yesterday's hour I'm not satisfied to have the form but not the power I'm not satisfied, Lord I am crucified in You (Chorus) So we lay down our cause That our cross might be found in You

How to Attract a Woman’s Attention

Attracting a woman’s attention in an impressive manner can be easy if you know a few basic things about women, and about yourself. Read on to know everything about attracting women and impressing them while you’re at it.
One thing that you will have to know is that when it comes to approaching women, the woman would already have made her mind up on whether to talk to you or not even before you say hello!!
The Warm Up It’s all about warming up to the act. There are a hundred women around you at a party or at your workplace, and likewise there a hundred men there too. Now what is it that will give you the winning edge over all the other men to get you in the good books of your best woman in the hundred? Well, it’s relatively simple, it’s the little things, packed with loads of balls and brains. It’s about crossing the enemy lines but still playing safe.
Now now… don’t get confused. I was just trying to get dramatic! The Posture You always have to be conscious about your posture, wherever you are. Always remember, one or the other woman is always watching you, and one bad move is one worthy impression lost!
Have a straight back, and walk with the air of a man returning from a battle won. Haven’t you seen movies where the hero always walks out from the plane in the last scene of a movie, with a cigar in his hand and the triumphant look on his face? That’s the person a woman always wants to be with, a winner. A man who always wins, no matter what. And your posture is the first step to proclaim that you’re a winner. You don’t see a winner slouching or a sore loser walking tall, do you?
The Look
Firstly, let this fine lady know that you want to know her. We don’t need any glowing neon signs for this. You just need your eyes. It’s that glance that can get the fire crackling. That one single glance that can melt hearts, and it’s got to come from you! However stupid this may sound, practice your “I’m Hot!” look! Look at yourself in the mirror every morning, give yourself an appreciative glance, and see if you find yourself at your best. This look is best noticed after you shave! It’s not very different from how you normally look, but you know you look better. It’s that look that makes you say, ‘Damn, I’m good!’
This look comes with practice, but if you’re a rookie, I’d suggest you don’t use ‘the look’ around women until you’re confident about it, because you would only end up like one of the million wannabes you find everywhere.

APC vows to resist plot to rig Assembly elections

Bayelsa State Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress has vowed to resist any plot by the Peoples Democratic Party, agents of the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies to rig the April 11 elections. Leaders of the party took the position on Wednesday after leading a protest to the state office of INEC on Swali Road, Yenagoa. They had gone to the INEC office to formally register their indignation at alleged irregularities that marred the March 28 presidential and National Assembly elections in the state. They appealed to the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Baritor Kpagih, to call caution his ad-hoc staff, warn them against conniving with security agents to sabotage the House of Assembly election. The State APC Chairman Tiwe Oruminighe said the party had confronted Kpagih with all the irregularities that occurred on March 28. He said the party was particularly uncomfortable with its findings that security agents colluded with INEC’s employees to cart away sensitive and non-sensitive materials. Oruminighe said they were angry that the last elections were not properly conducted in the state, alleging that the procedure was heavily manipulated and compromised. Oruminighe said APC would no longer fold its arms and watch similar irregularities to occur in April 11 polls. He said the next elections were so crucial to the party and the people of the state, insisting that they would not accept any procedure below minimum standards. The party boss said since the coming elections were grassroots- based, the people should be allowed to elect their representatives without intimidation, inducements and manipulation. Oruminighe, who said the party would take similar protest to the Department of State Security and the police, added that APC stood a better chance in the coming elections. He, however, lauded INEC for the innovation the agency introduced into the electoral process. Oruminighe said the REC promised that the agency would do its best to ensure that the coming elections are free, fair and credible.

Full Text Of President Jonathan’s Easter Message To Nigerians

President Goodluck Jonathan has felicitated with Nigerian Christians as they celebrate this year’s Easter, urging them to be prepared and willing to make sacrifices for greater unity, peace, political stability and progress in our beloved country. President Jonathan, according to an Easter message personally signed by him, called on Nigerians to seize the opportunity of the Easter holiday to reflect deeply on what more they need to do as a people, to ensure that the political process the nation is currently engaged is successfully concluded and that the country continues to move towards a better future for all of its citizens. Below is the full text of the message: Fellow citizens, I greet you all, especially our Christian brothers and sisters, as we celebrate Easter in commemoration of the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. For Christians all over the world, the major lessons of Easter, which we celebrate this year in the midst of general elections in our nation, are to be found in the Messiah’s Divine love and glorious self-sacrifice for the redemption of mankind. This year’s celebration of Easter is taking place at a period of very critical national choices and decisions, during which we must all be prepared and willing to make sacrifices for greater unity, peace, political stability and progress in our beloved country. We must therefore seize the opportunity of the Easter holiday to reflect deeply on what more we need to do as a people, to ensure that the political process in which we are currently engaged is successfully concluded and that our beloved country, Nigeria continues to move towards a better future for all of its citizens. Happily, we have already successfully scaled the hurdle of the Presidential and National Assembly Elections. I am quite hopeful that the Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections will also be conducted peacefully. To the glory and pride of our fatherland, our collective actions since March 28 have assured the world that the democratic spirit is alive and well in our nation. By the grace of God, our beloved nation, Nigeria is moving forward despite all challenges. Let us all pray this Easter, that God Almighty who has brought us this far, will continue to bless our nation as we march onward towards the fulfillment of our collective vision of a truly united, strong and prosperous nation. I wish you all very happy Easter celebrations. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR President, Federal Republic of Nigeria

Top 3 Reasons why you should Date A Guy Who Still Lives With His Parents

Why you should give a Mama's boy a chance. Max Green, 32, who moved back home from the West Coast, told the New York Post, "I moved back in with my parents in August. I was dissatisfied with my job, was thinking of going back to school, and wanted to be close to my family." This comes on the heels of a Census Bureau study that reveals nearly one in five men in their late 20s and early 30s are living at home with their parents. And "in just the past six years, the number of men living with their parents has risen from 14 to 19 percent," while only half as many women in the same age range are living at home, rising slightly from 8 to 10 percent since 2005. Despite the stigma attached to men living with their parents—Mama's boy, codependent, immature, broke—we think these men could still be worth dating. So if you happen to meet a guy in this situation, here are four reasons not to immediately write him off. 1. Different men live at home for different reasons. Maybe he's helping out his parents, saving money (student loans anyone?) or was just fired and needs time to get back on his feet. Maybe his stay is temporary, and he's actually in the very process of moving out. You don't know the exact circumstances, and you should take the time to learn more about them before deeming him undateable. 2. The lack of privacy forces you to be spontaneous. Sure, you guys can't get too crazy (or have to be really, really quiet) when his mom and dad are right up/ downstairs, but why limit yourselves to the basement or bedroom anyway? Now you have the perfect excuse to get it on in crazier locales, such as the park or a mall dressing room. It definitely makes for some stories! 3. It'll help you get in good with his parents. What's better for the longevity of your relationship than a great relationship with his parents? By spending more time in their house, you get a better feel for who they are as a family. Imagine all of the gift ideas you'll come up with for special occasions and holidays. Have you ever dated a guy who still lives at home?

Patience: I Haven't Packed Out Of Aso Rock

First Lady Patience Jonathan says she has not started packing out of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja. Mrs Jonathan was reacting to a media report on Wednesday that she had summoned her domestic staff and ordered them to pack her personal belongings in readiness for a change of guard. The report had said that when it became evident by 6pm on Tuesday that President Goodluck Jonathan had lost his re-election bid, a truck made two trips transporting the first lady's property to an undisclosed destination. But Mrs. Jonathan's spokesman, Mr Ayo Adewuyi, in a telephone chat with our correspondent described the report as untrue. Adewuyi also dispelled the rumours that the first lady had travelled out of the country. "She (Patience) is at home. Just leave us out of any controversy. She did not travel to anywhere. She is very much around in her residence," Adewuyi said. On why Mrs. Jonathan had not gone to office since her husband lost the Saturday's presidential poll, Adewuyi simply said: "You should know that she does not have to be in the office every time"

Gen. BUHARI WILL CREATE 20,000 JOBS IN EVERY STATE! – OSINBAJO

The Vice Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), has said that Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) will create 20,000 jobs in each state of the federation. Osinbajo said this in Osogbo City Stadium on Wednesday while addressing crowd of supporters of the party at the end of a 10 kilometer walk, tagged “Walk for Change Nigeria.” He lamented the massive youth unemployment in the country, saying the APC government would address this immediately if Buhari was voted in as the president in the February election. He said, “We would provide 20,000 jobs in each Nigerian state when we are elected. “We will revive our agricultural sector by providing ready-made market for farmers and encourage them, as the government would be purchasing their farm produce. “Our government would also engage in feeding of our primary school pupils with free lunch across the country, just as we will embark on massive road construction. “The elderly and the physically challenged would also not be left out, as our government would be giving them allowances.” Osinbajo said that the party had a strong believe that its presidential candidate would be voted into power, while assuring Nigerians that they would not be disappointed. Governor Rauf Aregbesola, while addressing the crowd, challenged President Goodluck Jonathan to come out for a debate to defend himself on how he had run the country. He said that Jonathan had not done anything to make Nigerians to re-elect him. Aregbesola stated that the President had fallen out of favour even from among the cleric, while drawing the attention of the people to the advice of Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka asking Jonathan to resign. Aregbesola urged Nigerian to troop out and effect change through their votes in the February 14 election. He said Buhari had resolved to turn around the fortune of Nigeria for better, saying the PDP-led government had nothing to offer the country other than to increase its level of corruption and impunity which must not be allowed by Nigerians. The governor urged those who were yet to collect their voter cards to do so for the purpose of “kicking the PDP out of government.”
